YouTube

I have been looking over my Youtube account and checking out how my videos are doing. I have 2 with over 2000 views, 9 with over 1000 views. Its amazing how some song I love I put up and don't give it much thought and all of a sudden they start to get alot of view. For example, Glen Campbell, Gary Moore & Soul Aslyum have all been doing good. Even Helloween. This comes as a suprise to me. I have 16 Subscribers who enjoy my vids. I'm happy about this. It makes me feel like I can touch peoples lives in a positive way by bring back memories of days gone by via music and sharing my thoughts through the words of others in there music. Since I was a child and heard Magic Power for the first time. Here are the lyrics.

Something's at the edge of your mind, you don't know what it is
Something you were hoping to find, but your not sure what it is
Then you hear the music and it all comes crystal clear
The music does the talking, says the things you want to hear

I'm young, I'm wild, and I'm free
I've got the magic power of the music in me
I'm young, I'm wild, and I'm free
I've got the magic power of the music in me

She climbs into the bed, she pulls the covers overhead
And she turns her little radio on
She's had a rotten day, so she hopes the DJ's
Gonna play her favourite song
It makes her feel much better, brings her closer to her dreams
A little magic power makes it better than it seems

She's young now, she's wild now, she wants to be freeS
he gets the magic power of the music from me
She's young now, she's wild now, she wants to be free
She gets the magic power of the music from me

You're thinking it over, but you just can't sort it out
Do you want someone to tell you what they think it's all aboutA
re you the one and only who's sad and lonely, you're reaching for the top
Well the music keeps you going and it's never gonna stop
It's never gonna stopIt's never gonna, never gonna, never gonna, never gonna stop

The world is full of compromise, the infinite red tape
But the music's got the magic, it's your one chance for escape
Turn me on, turn me up, it's your turn to dream
A little magic power makes it better than it seems

I'm young now, I'm wild now, I want to be free
I've got the magic power of the music in me
I'm young now, I'm wild, and I'm free
I've got the magic power of the music
I've got the music in me

An ice-free Antarctica?

At least two 16th-century nautical maps are said to feature the outline of Antarctica's coastline - a coastline buried under a mile of ice for thousands of years.
Most famous is the 1513 map by Ottoman navigator Admiral Piri Ibn Haji Memmed, known as Piri Re'is. Found in rubble at Istanbul's Topkapi Palace in 1929, the map, half of which is missing, drew immense interest. It appears to place Africa, Europe and South America at the correct relative longitudes (more than 200 years before John Harrison's sea-clock) and, most spectacularly of all, portrays the north coast of Antarctica, 300 years before it was recognised as a landmass. Piri's notes also refer to an Atlantic map by Columbus (now lost) and others from Alexander's time (336-323BC).
In Maps of the Ancient Sea Kings (1966), Professor Charles Hapgood suggests maps like the Piri Re'is hint at an advanced seafaring civilisation about 12,000 years ago. Remnants of their knowledge, he proposes, survived in the Alexandrian library until its destruction in AD640, and were incorporated into later maps. These ideas were recycled by Graham Hancock, but the reality may be less romantic.
Since antiquity, it was considered that there had to be a great land in the southern hemisphere to balance those in the north. So, employing standard practice of the time, cartographers made one up. This imaginary land was known as Terra Incognita Australis - Unknown Southern Land - and is marked on several maps, notably the 1531 Oronteus Finaeus map, often used to bolster Hapgood's claims. It's possible that on this and other maps, Terra Australis is Australia.
Piri notes of this southernmost region that it was "recently found but is not fully known," that "large snakes are found here" and "these [shores] are _ very hot". Not the Antarctica we know, then - unless the penguins ate all the snakes. Today, cartographers suggest a better match could be the tip of South America. Certainly, well-established sea routes existed at least 3,000 years ago and many ancient maps have been lost, but with ice cores 500,000 years old being recovered from Antarctica, we can assume that even the most ancient sea kings probably didn't go there.

Plumes spewing from Saturn moon may contain water

WASHINGTON – Astronomers looking at the spectacular supersonic plumes of gas and dust shooting off one of Saturn's moons say there are strong hints of liquid water, a key building block of life.
Their research, appearing in Thursday's issue of the journal Nature, adds to the growing push to explore further the moon Enceladus, as one of the solar system's most compelling places for potential life.
Using images from NASA's Cassini probe, astronomers had already figured that the mysterious plumes shooting from Enceladus' icy terrain contain water vapor. New calculations suggesting the gas and dust spew at speeds faster-than-sound make the case for liquid, said study lead author Candice Hansen of NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab in California. Her team calculated the plumes travel more than 1,360 mph.
Reaching that speed "is hard to do without liquids," Hansen said. While her paper offers more evidence building on what others have found, she added that her research is not the final proof of liquid water on Enceladus (pronounced en-SELL-ah-dus).
Other planetary scientists, such as Andrew Ingersoll at the California Institute of Technology, said the research is good, but that it is possible to achieve such speeds with ice particles and at cooler temperatures. So Hansen hasn't proven her case yet, he and other scientists said.
Carolyn Porco, the head of the Cassini camera team and an astronomer who didn't take part in Hansen's research, said "the evidence in my mind is building on liquid water." That moon, one of 60 circling Saturn, "has become the go-to place" for exploration in the outer planets, she said.
Europa, a moon of Jupiter, may have a liquid ocean beneath its frozen surface. But Enceladus, thought responsible for producing one of Saturn's rings, is more accessible, Hansen said. "Enceladus is sort of helpfully spewing out its innards," she said.

Thanksgiving sky: Jupiter, Venus, moon together

WASHINGTON – It's not just families that are getting together this Thanksgiving week. The three brightest objects in the night sky — Venus, Jupiter and a crescent moon — will crowd around each other for an unusual group shot.
Starting Thanksgiving evening, Jupiter and Venus will begin moving closer so that by Sunday and Monday, they will appear 2 degrees apart, which is about a finger width held out at arm's length, said Alan MacRobert, senior editor at Sky and Telescope magazine. Then on Monday night, they will be joined by a crescent moon right next to them, he said.
Look in the southwestern sky around twilight — no telescope or binoculars needed. The show will even be visible in cities if it's a clear night.
"It'll be a head-turner," MacRobert said. "This certainly is an unusual coincidence for the crescent moon to be right there in the days when they are going to be closest together."
The moon is the brightest, closest and smallest of the three and is 252,000 miles away. Venus, the second brightest, closest and smallest, is 94 million miles away. And big Jupiter is 540 million miles away.
The three celestial objects come together from time to time, but often they are too close to the sun or unite at a time when they aren't so visible. The next time the three will be as close and visible as this week will be Nov. 18, 2052, according to Jack Horkheimer, director of the Miami Space Transit Planetarium.
But if you are willing to settle for two out of three — Venus and the crescent moon only — it will happen again on New Year's Eve, MacRobert said

Shaw-Blades

My next concert :D

Jason Mraz

Jason Mraz is full of energy in his shows. Getting the crowd involved when possible. He is a natural born entertainer. I was kinda bummed he didn't play Curb Side Prophet, which is my fav song by him but alwell. Julie just loved him and Mike was very impressed. His duet he has out he sang with Lisa Hannigan and her music is very relaxing. she does have a future in the industry it just wont be a big one.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seed

This was only the 2nd time Nick Cave has ever been to denver. He was awesome. Hard to describe this show. But in all he put on one hell of a show and he is worth seeing.I was the 1st time I can remember the Ogden being sold out and it was packed.

Twilight Movie Review

I went to see Twilight over the weekend. I liked it alot. I would give it 4.5 out of 5. It was a love story for the ages. Accepting a person for who they truly are and not fearing what they are. I was left with many questions though. The indians & the wolves. I wondered if they are werewolves do to the treaty they have with one another. I liked the fact they werent all equal with abilities. Some had higher senses others had speed, some could tell the future or read minds. It had me thinking so much I went out and got the book.

Its been awhile

Its been awhile since I have written. Alot has been going on as of late, from the deat of my step father to my mothers colon cancer. She won't see the surgeon til dec 2nd now. But the cancer is isolated so it makes my thoughts rest easier. Now that things are getting back to my somewhat normal 5150 life, I can continue writing my thoughts, reviews & interesting stories.

NASA to launch probe to map solar system's edge

This is hella cool, im curious to see what they find out.

LOS ANGELES – A small NASA spacecraft embarks on a two-year mission this weekend to give scientists their first view of the happenings at the edge of the solar system. The Ibex probe, short for Interstellar Boundary Explorer, will study a chaotic region in space where the solar wind from the sun clashes with cold gases from interstellar space.
The solar wind, a stream of charged particles spewing from the sun at 1 million miles per hour, carves out a protective bubble around the solar system. This bubble known as the heliosphere shields against most dangerous cosmic radiation that would otherwise interfere with human spaceflight.
Scientists recently discovered that the solar wind pressure is at its weakest level in 50 years, although the exact reason remains a mystery. Ibex could help confirm whether the heliosphere is shrinking.
Observations from Ibex should help researchers in "unlocking the secrets of this important interaction between the sun and the galaxy," said David McComas of the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio. He is chief scientist for the $165 million mission.
Ibex, the size of a bus tire, will be launched aboard a Pegasus rocket that will be dropped from an aircraft over a Pacific atoll on Sunday.
The rocket will lift Ibex 130 miles above Earth and put it into orbit. The spacecraft will then fire its solid rocket motor to loft itself even higher, eventually to 200,000 miles above Earth.
Ibex will build on the discoveries of the long-running twin Voyager spacecraft launched in 1977 to explore the outer planets. The deep-space, manmade probes have since sailed past the outer planets and are headed out of the solar system.
Unlike the Voyager craft, Ibex will not barrel through space, but instead will do its job from high-Earth orbit. The probe carries two sensors that will collect information about the solar wind's mass and energy from all directions.

Iran to press for output cut at OPEC meet

Ok i feel this is BS, with our economy the way it is and falling, raising the oil prices wont help unless that ia what they are after.

TEHRAN, (AFP) – Iran said on Saturday that OPEC should cut oil output at its emergency meeting next week amid prospects of reduced demand in the face of the global economic slowdown, the state broadcaster reported.
"Iran's clear proposal for the OPEC emergency meeting is that crude supply should be reduced in proportion with demand," Iran's ambassador to the oil cartel, Mohammad Ali Khatibi, told the state broadcaster.
"Global demand for crude oil has fallen, so crude supply should be reduced in order to preserve balance and stability in the market," Khatibi said, describing falling oil prices as "worrying".
Iran is OPEC's second largest exporter and its economy is heavily dependent on oil and gas income.
OPEC said on Thursday that it would hold an extraordinary meeting earlier than expected next Friday -- instead of in November -- to discuss the global financial crisis and its impact on the oil market.
Oil prices had reached a peak of 147 dollars a barrel earlier this year but slumped below 70 dollars on Thursday for the first time in more than a year.
Prices rebounded above 71 dollars a barrel on Friday on speculation that OPEC could cut production at the emergency meeting, traders said.

It's been awhile

Its been awhile since i have last written. In that time I have been to a couple of concert and my step father has gotten ill. We all knew it was a matter of time cause his health has gone down in the past several years. On 10-5-2008 he suffered a massive stroke. He slowly began to recover. They put him in a rehab center then on 10-16-2008 he died for 20 min and they brought him back. This gave the family time to say thier final goodbyes. This was also a time for the family to heal the differences from the past. My brother Shane who walked away from the family 13+ yrs ago came back home. I wasn't able to be there for that :(. On 10-17-2008 at 8:30pm pst they turned off his life support. He was clasified as brain dead. He is in a better place now. you will be missed Lee.

Johnny Schou

Welp the bassist for Tickle Me Pink died of a Heroin overdose. OK this is crazy, How many people must die of this drug. My feelings on this drug is anger. I feel they should legalize pot, tax he hell out of it like they do cigs and use that money to really crack down on drugs like heroin, coke & crack. The government could make millions on the taxes to allow DEA & Vice to do what they need to do to stop this drug and help with rehab.

Music Artist who have died from Heroin related issues
Brad Nowell (Sublime)

tempered by fear
It makes a child laugh
And a giant shed a tear

Or your worst enemy
Just know before you fall in love

Joshua Radin, Erin McCarley & Hana Pestle

I got an email about this concert from Hana Pestles newletter, since it was a slow week so I decide to go. I never heard of Joshua Radin or Erin McCarley before. I check out Joshua on youtube and liked his sound. Hana opened the show. She covered Janis Joplin and did one hell of a job with it. Her original stuff is really good and she has a great voice. She closed the show covering Radiohead's Creep. Several people have covered it and she is up there with the best of them. I can't waitto hear full lenght cd. Erin McCarley has a great voice. She was impressive, I have recently checked out more of her stuff on youtube and got her download. I am interesd in hearing her cd coming out soon. Joshua Radin is impressive with what he calls Whisper Rock. On many levels he reminds me of Robert Francis a person I would see again. I loved how Joshua closed out the concert, He walked in to the middle of the crowd and played. Something I cant say I have seen before.

Puddle Of Mudd

Puddle Of Mudd, Saving Abel, Rev Theory & Tyler Read. Well I missed Tyler Read cause I was waiting for Jamie but she stood me up so I arrived in time to see Rev Theory which was a great band. They have what it takes to make it real big real fast. They are also a fans band. Everywhere doing meet & greets. My cousin compared them to Nickleback. I can see why she said that. Saving Abel I have mixed feelings on. Granted they aren't bad but I will have to hear their second cd when it comesout to make my final choice on them. Saving Abel is like going through the motions on meet and greets. Puddle Of Mudd was fun to watch. Joking around on stage and just having fun. Wesley also said that AC/DC was the best damn rock band period. Hard to agrue with that. They were cool to meet. I had some pic but lost my camera that night.

Saturday

Its been an interesting week. Still abit slow at work. I got an email about a concert thursday night with Joshua Radin, Erin McCarley & Hana Pestle, So I went and enjoyed it. Saturday I went to a wedding with Tammy, It wasnt bad but it was at a place called Sable Landing Event Center. The place was really cool. http://www.sablelandinginc.com/ On the way back we drove by the Grizzly Rose and noiced that Great White was going to be there on Sept 5th. So I am going to go. It will be the 7th time I have seen them. Gotta love the blues stlye they play.

A Chance

When we are given a chance in love to find the one single person who you could spend the rest of your life with. Do we take it? Do we take a chance of following forward? I know A woman who I have this possibility with. There is a connection there. Granted there is a few complications but life has its tasks fr us to over come.

Candlebox, Small Town Sleeper & The Kings Royal

The show opened with The Kings Royal, I listened to them on myspace and was too impressed. Their live performance was very good, I was impressed. Small Town Sleeper is a very impressive band that was formed 7 years ago. It took them time to refine their sound and style. They have a bright future ahead. Candlebox, What can I say about these guys. They flat out rocked. Very interactive with the crowd an heavy into th fans. This is one of the few bands around that know if it wasn't for the fans they wouldn't be around. This show was for the fans, all the bands went out and mingled with the people. How many groups actually do that anymore. These are bands I would gladly see again and again.

Styx & Boston

I flew my mother and nephew Teezar and took them to the show. It was Tee 1st concert and he knew of Boston cause of Guitar Hero. It was funny watching my mom rock out to STYX. Styx put on an excellent show. Just as good as the first time I saw them back in '96. Boston had some sound issues. But in all it was a good show.

Family Visits

I flew my mother and nephew out for 10 day. My nephew stayed with me as my mom stayed with my brother. It was a time for my brother and mother to start to talk and heal. There has been an issue there cause of my step-father, him and I resolved our issues yrs ago and its time for mike to do the same. My nephew and I went camping and fishing, he caught some really nice trout. Took him and my mom to go see styx & boston at red rocks to name a few things. it was a very nice visit and if all goes well tee may be coming out during x-mass break so mike can take him skiing up in the rockies.

Dealing with death

Seems like things always creep up on you when you least expect it. My best friend over the past 40 day lost his second child and father. The pain he must be going though is something I wouldnt wish upon anyone. I just let him know if he needs anything I am aound.

Hurricanes

Hurricane #1 is underway, its name is Bertha. Now on its way to Bermuda yet they say it will start to lose speed. I kinda wonder with the melting ice in greenland and the fresh water entering the ocean, how will it effect the currents and in the process causing more hurricanes.

18th Annual Blues Traveler Concert @ Red Rocks

Red Rocks July 4th 2008, The 18th Annual Blues Traveler Concert.

Hana Pestle opened the show, she is new upcoming artist. She reminds me abit of Tori Amos. I Picked up her EP last night and listed to it, It's a 4 song Ep but shows her potenial as an upcoming artist. Collective Soul took the stage next. Out of all the bands who played, I felt they were the best. They played all the hits and a couple off the new cd. During Shine, the audience Joined in the singing. It was pretty sweet. As they left the stage Roland played Lightning Stikes while walking off with the blue acoustic guitar. I would go and see them again. Live on the other hand wasnt all that good. Granted im not a big fan but now i know why. I like lightning strikes and I Alone. They cover Johnny Cash "I Walk The Line". It was horrific. It seemed like the lead singer was in love with himself, pulling of the shirt, pants falling and half the times it seems he was singing through his nose. The Blues Traveler came on at sunset. They are a great jam band. I was bummed they didn't play "Back In the Day" but alwell. They did cover Cheap Trick " I Want You To Want me" Also 3 songs from the 4th coming cd. During the set, Collective Soul Guitarist came out and him and John Popper had abit of a battle, it was sweet, guitar vs harmonica. I don't know if i will go back next yr but i defently go back for the 20th show. It will have to be some kinda great show.

The Black Nation Anthem

Today in denver at the Majors State of the union address Rene Marie to sing the nation anthem but istead she preformed the black national anthem. I have an issue with this, we are one nation doesnt matter who you are. It in many was a racial song. If it was a white national anthem there would be an uproar over it and they would ask for the persons head who sung it. I though were as a nation were beyond all that but I guess I was wrong. I figured in this day and age, we wouldn't have races of people tring to be seperate from other races. we are all one race called AMERICANS.

Starbucks closing 600 stores

SEATTLE — Starbucks Corp. said today it will close 600 stores in the United States in the next year and cut back the number of new stores it had planned to open

Starbucks said 70 percent of the stores slated to be closed had opened since the start of the 2006 fiscal year. The total includes 100 previously announced store closures.

The company expects charges between $328 million and $348 million related to the closures, including a charge of $200 million in the third quarter.

Once those underperforming stores have shut down — a process the company said will happen gradually from now until the first half of 2009 — Starbucks said it expects the change to boost earnings by $100 million a year.

Mark Knopfler

Mark Knopfler last night wasn't bad. At times the wind messed with the sound. He played his classic songs from dire straits to the new stuff. He has begun to slowly lose his voice, with So Far Away he didnt hit all the words but came close. The opening act was Jesca Hoop. Shes an upoming new artist with a strong voice an a good song writer. She did one song that was just amazing called Willow in the (something) which is supose to be on her next cd which Icant wait for.

The Tubes

Welp I went to The Tubes concert last night. It was a concert I wasn't expecting. In many ways it was a shock rock concert. Lets start from the beginning. the open band was Rubber Planet. Well they started to sound ood but after a few songs everything pretty much sounded the same. I can see why they have been unsigned for over 10 years. Then the Tubes came on, Fee Waybill likes telling stories befor most song and changes clothes for different songs. During the White Kids On Dope song he came out wearing the contume in the pic, after that he came out in chaps without pants on. It was a good laugh. He even mooned the audience. I was very entertained. I would go see them again cause of the style of concert it was.

Gas Prices

GOOD GOD MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are calling for $5 a gallon by July 4th. C'MON WTF is really going on. Gas Jumped $10.75 today alone. Some say were are using less gas so they are producing more diesel but even that is outragous. But in my thoughts is President Bush has stock in fuel products and gas was conciderably cheper before he got into office. I just hope the next president will clean up this mess and fast.

"I Will Remember You" by ASIA

Somewhere I'll see you again
These words are true
Inside I carry a flame
It burns for you

Sometimes I reach for you
But you're not there
The place you take me to
I know not where

In dreams, you come to me
I'm never free
For I know wherever I go, whatever I do,
I WILL REMEMBER YOU

Locked in my memory
Your silhouette
The only face I see
I can't forget

In dreams, you come to me
I'm never free
For I know wherever I go, whatever I do,
I WILL REMEMBER YOU

And if I should light a candle
For all the others I've knownNo matter how I try
You're there before my eye
And the thought will never subside, forever
I WILL REMEMBER YOU

These streets and these houses
All of the places I've seen
If I run from you, no matter what I do
The fire will always survive
The embers are still alive, and
I WILL REMEMBER YOU

And if I should light a candle
For all the others I've known
No matter how I try
You're there before my eye
And the thought will never subside, forever
I WILL REMEMBER YOU

These streets and these houses
All of the places I've been
If I run from you, no matter what I do
The fire will always survive
The embers are still alive, and
I WILL REMEMBER YOU

New Jersey

Welp im working in New Jersey for a couple of weeks. It's an interesting state. A lot of small cities, several that i have been through have been close the where we are staying. Newark, Arlington, Kearny, Riverside & Harrison. Granted there are bad areas, some places run down, but all along the east side of the Passaic River is a really cool area. Im abit suprised. A few things suprise me out here, In Harrison during the mornings, there are cross-walk people who are there for theschool kids. Something to don't really see out west. The resturants I have been in, they have big servings for decent prices. I'm glad the hotel has a fridge in the room. Here are a couple of pics.

Bush says tax rebates going out Monday will help people afford rising gas, food prices

On so many levels you just have to laugh at Bush. He say the rebate check will help the ecomony to help with a spending spree. Now he says it to help with rising gas & food prices. Come on now. Higher gas prices equals higher shipping prices which trickles down to us. It cost more to ship products with increases the price. But Bush is invested into oil so he has no interest in asking OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) to increase oil production which would lower the price per barrel and eventually lower gas prices. Our economy is in a downward spiral, and in my opinion a major part is due to fuel cost. Why is it greed always does more damage then good?

NBA

Seem kinda strange but it is possible for a team to win 50 games and miss the playoffs.

Teen Nudity & Cell Phones

A quote from abc in denver web site.
"Detective Brian Marvin of the FBI Cyber Crime Task Force says he has seen everything from a strip tease to explicit sex sent by cell phone. He says the content sometimes makes its way to Internet Web sites for others to see."
This is scary on so many levels. Kids just don't understad what they are doing. Honestly, parents need to get more involved in their kids lives and not just blow them off and let them run as they like. Help then understand what something like that can lead to, be a friend to them not just a parent.

Teen Gets 30 Days For Nude MySpace Pic

At the age of 17, a boy posted a pic of his girlfrind on myspace. She was 15 and in the buff. He did it after they broke up and 2 years later he was sentences to 30 days in jail. Kinda sad what heart broken kids will do to get revenge on another.

8 Arrested in Filmed Beating of Teenage Girl

A 16 yr old girl in Florida was beaten by two girls, She was stuck in the head several times then had her head slammed into a wall knocking her unconscious, They put her on a couch then when she woke up, she was surrounded by 6 girls and beat again whle two boys played look out. they wer discussing this on the radio yesterday abut atleast one of the girls being tried as an adult. I feel the violent crime of this nature should be treated harshly. Basically it wa a gang beating and shouldnt be taken lightly. This girl will be scared for life with the concussion, broken eye socket & broken ear drum. A guy called in and said they were just kids and should be treated as so, If that was the case, then in his comment anyoneunder 18 should be slapped on the wrist. In my feelings, kids do understand what they do and have to accept responsiblityfor thier ations and paents should install that in them.

Missy Higgins / Robert Francis

The other night I went to a concert of Missy Higgins & Robert Francis. I never heard of Robert before. His music was very different then what i'm used to listening to. I gave his music a chance and just listened to it. He reminded me of Soul Aslyum from the 90's. His guitar play is different, kinda a blues/country. He is classified as an indie folk singer/songwriter.

Frustration

I have some frustrations against my father. The whole thing about father knows best is just wrong. As in the Jonathan Edwards song "Sunshine" he say "But he can't even run his own life, I'll be damned if he'll run mine". When i hear these lyric I can't help but to think of my father. He is tring to talk me out of moving to oregon and to move to cali. What he doesnt understand I have no desire to go back to cali. Nothing will change that. I want to be in a smaller town, A change in life and direction I am heading down. See this all stems from growing up, he wasnt always around and I always got told, be more like you brother. I got better grades then him, did better on the sat's & act's. But it never seemed good enough. I Had no desire to play football but I did, all i really wanted to do was to play music. When i got a guitar in the forth grade, I was happy but my brother and this kids from frane broke it, when I went t tell him, he said too bad and didnt even bat an eye at them. When I tring playing the cello in the 5th grade, all he & my step sister said, I stunk and stop playing it. No support what so ever. Things like this scare children. I caught my father watching pron, smoking pot & all of his drinking. I liked wantchng horror/scifi movies. I was watching Alien and was told by my father he would rather me watching a good f*`k film then that crap. Why would you tell a child that? So I started to rebel in any way I could. Pushing that side of the family away, if I couldnt get good attention, I would get bad. I tried running away in the 6th grade but didnt get very far. Was told I was going to hell cause I like repties and they had forked tongues by my grandma. I listen to devils music. And people wonder why Im athest now. Where was I ? On yeah, My father is always looking for the big payoff and unable to have a real job, he lives basically paycheck to paycheck tring to live higher then he can afford. I can't be that way. Which is one reason I don't get drunk any more. I am tired of listeing to do as I say not as I do. I will got a place in oregon to get a piece of mind. With less peolpe, mountains & the ocean. More places to explore and be cloe to my neices & nephews. Since I wont have any kids of my own, I will have them.

Concerts

This year I have decided to goto a few concerts and get out. I just saw James Blunt & Sara Bareilles. That was a good show and could of done without a couple of people in the crowd. On March 4th I'm going to see Missy Higgins which is an indie rock from Austraila. May 21st I'm going to see The Cure with a friend of mine Tammy. I do like some of their stuff and liked em' on Korn Unplugged. So what the hell, after all how much longer can they come around. June 24 my brother & I are going to see Mark Knofler. He is on of my brothers favorite singers and I do like alot of his Dire Strits material. The Police are coming back to play Red Rocks but I have t see how much the tickets are for them before i decide if I'm willing to go.

Scary Stuff

The Associated Press said "On Oct.1, Medicare will stop payng hospitals for the care they must provide to treat eight preventable injuries: 1) Urinary-tract infections from using catheters. 2) Bloodstream infections from using catheters. 3) Falls. 4) Bedsores, or pressure ulcers. 5) Objects left in a patient during surgury. 6) Blood incompatibility, giving a dangerously wrong blood type. 7) Infection after heart surgery called mediastinitis. 8) Air embolism, an air bubble in a blood vessel."

As i was reading this, I was in shock with #5, is this really that common? I have heard of it happening 2 times but for medicare to bring that up, OMG how good of doctor is the person cutting you open and forgetting tools inside of you.

Lost Life

What is happening to our society these day? Another school shooting today and again the shooter takes the cowards way out. What ever happened to the days of none gun violence? I do believe in the right to bare arms, but we need keep guns under strictor guidelines. The news media doesn't help much with this .They basically help make the shooter famous and it auses copycats. Going out in a blaze of glory while destoring lives with emotional trauma. Maybe its our population being out of control but what can we do about that? Nothing. But we can be more aware of others around us, listen for little comments or cries of help. Lend and ear or shoulder, don't be so quick to judge. If you have an open mind you can see the signs of distress and seek help to prevent the violence that haunts our world these days. Just remember, if you don't, it could be your loved one next.

Love

This is an interesting subject. What really is love? How can we define Love? Some define it feelings towards a person, some use to get another into bed. Lets be honest, love is term that is overly used. I can honestly say I have never know true love, I thought i have but don't we all. How many relationships end cause the relationship get old and boring, where people just drift apart and lose interest in one another, lie to each other to hide their real feeling not wanting to hurt the other. In my case the woman I like usually don't have the same feeling for me and the ones who like me I don't have feelings for them. If I wanted to, I could have stayed with these woman and lived the lie. Kinda like my marriage. With tracy, We got along but she never had my heart, and we got married cause she placed a guilt trip on me after she lost the baby. But I never should of fell for it. My own fault.

I have learned though out the years that loves is a very rare thing. Rare as in spending your life with someone and never looking back with regreats or looking to stray into the arms of another. To wake up in the morning knowing that after all the trials you truly know you can still be happy. Someone you can live with and not live without. And know she feels the same way about you. Someone you can share things with, and play with, enjoy a movie and have several things in common that can keep a bond growing as we pass time together. I know every relationship has disagreement but we must be able to speak our minds, have abit of space to calm down, and over come those to become stronger. It ay be a pipedream but it has to exsist somewhere.

Also you have to be best of friends before all else. Many relationships are based upon sexuality or lust for one another, but once the sex slows to a crawl, what are you left with? Co-exsisting which leads to a downfall. 2 people who just pass each other in the hall rarly looking at each other.

Beginnings

Well here I sit, thinking about blogging, a plce where you can express yourself in thoughts and feelings one has. So here it will begin uncensored no holds barred.
